Drunk crossing in Romania

Officials in Pecica, a Romanian village town near Hungary, have found the answer to their drunk problem. They have installed 10 road signs around popular nightspot areas in the town. The signs are bright red in color which show a person crawling on their knees while clutching a glass in one hand with the Romanian phrase "Cetateni Turmentati" (in English - “Attention - Drunks”) under it.

The mayor of the town, Peter Antal, got his inspiration from a town in Germany which installed similar signs. The signs warning Romanian drivers to be careful of "drunken" pedestrians lying on roads have been scrapped by council officials after "excessive" media coverage.

Talking while drunk

THINGS THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO SAY WHEN DRUNK:

1. Innovative
2. Preliminary
3. Proliferation
4. Cinnamon

THINGS THAT ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO SAY WHEN DRUNK:

1. Specificity
2. Anti-constitutionalistically
3. Passive-aggressive disorder
4. Transubstantiate

THINGS THAT ARE DOWNRIGHT IMPOSSIBLE TO SAY WHEN DRUNK:

1. No thanks, I’m married..
2. Nope, no more booze for me!
3. Sorry, but you’re not really my type.
4. No thanks, I’m not hungry.
5. Good evening, officer. Isn’t it lovely out tonight?
6. Oh, I couldn’t! No one wants to hear me sing karaoke.
7.. I’m not interested in fighting you.
8. Thank you, but I won’t make any attempt to dance, I have no coordination. I’d hate to look like a fool!
9.. Where is the nearest bathroom? I refuse to pee on the side of the road.
10. I must be going home now, as I have to work in the morning.

A little video of Minister of Pensions, Michel Daerden, just another drunken idiot in the Belgian government elaborating on the progress he's made. (I don't think he's referring to AA)

You don't even have to understand Flemish to see what a douchbag this guy is. Evidently one of the reasons taxes are so high in Belgium is to pay for the wine budget for this guy and his fellow clowns.

Water is more expensive than alcohol in the UK

According to the Times Online........Supermarkets have been accused of encouraging binge drinking by continuing to sell alcohol more cheaply than bottled water.

Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s are among those selling beer at just over 5p per 100ml. This contrasts with a typical price of about 8p for 100ml of brand-name mineral water.

Campaigners claim such retailers are “irresponsible”, using cheap alcohol to lure customers, while ignoring warnings from senior health figures that selling it at rock-bottom prices leads to more drinking.

My question is......Why are people not asking why bottled water is so frikn EXPENSIVE......

Drunkest Countries in the World

If you had 10 guesses as to what country consumes the most alcohol per capita, it's an almost sure bet you would not have picked Uganda with any of them yet this impoverished African nation heads up the drunkest-country list with almost 20 liters of pure alcohol consumed per occupant annually.

Drunk truck driver spoils holiday fun

The first sunny day of the summer encouraged many Flemings to head for the coast on Thursday, but the Brussels - Ostend motorway was closed from 7AM until 4PM due to an accident.

The truck driver was found to be over the drink drive limit. He zigzagged over the carriageway and crashed into the pillar of a bridge outside Ghent.
The truck that turned on its side was carrying 26,000 litres of hydrochloric acid.
The content needed to be transferred to another lorry before the motorway could be reopened.
At one point there was a 17 km tailback as a result of the accident. Red Cross workers handed out bottles of water to stranded drivers

Animal House in Belgium

Gee we can send them off to war, but we have to throw them in the brig if they have a food fight. Don't you just love hypocrisy!

The Belgian Defence Minister Pieter De Crem (creme fresh for short) has called for an investigation into the behaviour of a group of Belgian soldiers in the capital of Benin, Cotounou.
The events date from 8 May when a party for a group of around one hundred Belgian troops got out of hand. The party was being held on the eve of the troops' return to Belgium after having spent two weeks in the West African country on a training exercise.
Soldiers from the First Parachute Regiment, the Para Commando Training Centre and the 15th Wing from Melsbroek in Flemish Brabant are alleged to have been involved in the drunken revelry. The soldiers are said to have held a food fight and one of them is alleged to have ran naked through the Ibis Hotel before jumping into a swimming pool. Food had to be removed for walls and carpets at the hotel. Those involved in the incident have reimbursed the hotel for the cost of cleaning up after the food fight. However, the Federal Defence Minister Pieter De Crem has called for a full investigation. All those involved will be disciplined.

DRINKING IS GOOD FOR YOU!

He must have been drinking some good Belgian Beer.

Drunkenness probably saved the life of a young Czech who recently climbed over the safety rail in order to throw himself in the Hranicka abyss but, paralysed by alcohol, he fell asleep on the edge of the steep chasm, the local police told CTK Thursday.

The 20-year-old man originally wanted to commit suicide by jumping into the abyss earlier this week. According to experts, Hranicka, a popular tourist destination, is the deepest abyss in Central Europe. Its steep rocks above the level of the "bottom" lake are 70 metres high, but the depth of the lake has never been reliably measured so far. STORY The Prague Monitor

Can you get a ticket for OWD (operating while drunk)

Bad Ass Implants from Belgium Studs on Vimeo.

In the "you can't make this stuff up" department, take a look at this woman's ass. Although the video and the news story are unrelated....they should be!

William Yvorchuk, M.D., an independent Fargo plastic surgeon, was about to perform surgery on March 5 when the medical staff at the PSI Surgical Center of Fargo observed that Yvorchuk appeared impaired, according to a release sent out today by the Board. Yvorchuk’s blood alcohol level was later determined to be .351, about four times the legal limit!
Other physicians were called to observe Yvorchuk, and after evaluating him, agreed there was an apparent impairment, the release says. It also was determined that he had performed two surgeries earlier in the day, one of them must have been on this poor womans ass! STORY IN FARGO FORUM

The shocking cost of alcohol: What drinking every day really does to you

As part of an investigation into middle-class drinking habits conducted by ITV's Tonight programme, the producers of the program hooked up with Anne Collins, a 52 year old drunkard ( a drunkard to the tune of 45-plus units of alcohol a week) and digitally aged her by 25 years. The results are pictured above.
How did Anne react when seeing the pictures?
Anne describes the pictures as "horrifying". Ya well, drunks tend to overreact to everything. What has this investigation taught us? It has taught us that old drunken women don't brush their hair. It has taught us that drunken women don't smile and tend to wear ugly cardigans. It has taught us that drunken women with bad taste in clothing should cover up their necks. At age 77, most men are half blind anyway, so whether your wife looks like a crinkled up old newspaper or whether she looks like a slightly less crinkled up old newspaper, it doesn't really matter. If my wife looks anything like either one of those pictures when she's 77, I'll be drunk. STORY and more pictures if ya need em.

You Brits are a bunch of Drunks

THE average British bloke drinks the equivalent of 44,000 pints of beer before he pops his clogs, a poll found.
At today’s prices that works out at £24,000 – or a year’s average wage.
The survey of 5,000 fellas found Mr Average sups 402 drinks a year.
That includes 234 pints, two litres of spirits, 1.5 litres of cocktails, 101 glasses of wine, half a litre of liqueurs and two bottles of champagne.
He boozes for an average 60.5 years of his life – getting through a whopping 88,000 units of alcohol. One pint of weak beer contains two units. STORY IN THE SUN

Austrailian Doctors save man with vodka IV drip

Crikey! 3 drinks an hour for 3 days. That's a manageable pace.

Australian doctors credit vodka for saving the life of an Italian tourist who had ingested a large amount of the poisonous substance ethylene glycol, found in antifreeze, which can cause renal failure and often is fatal, French news agency AAP reports.
The 24-year-old man, believed to have been attempting to harm himself, was brought to Mackay Base Hospital in north Queensland, Australia, two months ago.
Pascal Gelperowicz, who led the man's treatment with Todd Fraser, said the man was unconscious when he arrived and was treated immediately with pharmaceutical-grade alcohol, which works as an antidote to the poison.
The hospital's alcohol supplies were soon exhausted, however, so they purchased a case of vodka to help finish the job. "We ... decided the next best way to get alcohol into the man's system was by feeding him spirits through a naso-gastric tube," Gelperowicz said.
The man was fed about three standard drinks an hour for three days while in intensive care. The patient has made a full recovery.

The doctors built upon the work of Dr. Homer J. Simpson, obviously.
