Water is more expensive than alcohol in the UK
According to the Times Online........Supermarkets have been accused of encouraging binge drinking by continuing to sell alcohol more cheaply than bottled water.Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s are among those selling beer at just over 5p per 100ml. This contrasts with a typical price of about 8p for 100ml of brand-name mineral water.
Campaigners claim such retailers are “irresponsible”, using cheap alcohol to lure customers, while ignoring warnings from senior health figures that selling it at rock-bottom prices leads to more drinking.
My question is......Why are people not asking why bottled water is so frikn EXPENSIVE......

Miss Nude Belgium.....drives a bus!
If you have been staying awake at night lately wondering what on earth ever happened to Miss Nude Belgium 2009,.....She has been found. Audrey, who doesn't want her last name used is a tour bus driver. It turns out she gave up her life of porn and nude beauty contests in order to provide a better life for her 3 and 4 year old kids.
For the life of me i couldn't find a picture of the bus babe, so enjoy the video of Alizée Poulicek (Miss Belgium 2008) at the La Perla Lingerie Show in Liege.
In this tough job market, there may be no one with more job security than porn stars. Let’s face it, the porn industry is on the rise now that thousands upon thousands of men are out of work and sitting around bored at home. For those porn stars who are down on their luck (or sick of getting stuffed all day), it may be time to look elsewhere for work.
As long as “elsewhere” isn’t on a bus.
In the UK, a porn star has been threatened with the proverbial pink slip if she doesn’t quit her night job. The reigning ‘Miss Nude Belgium 2009′ recently passed all her exams to become a bus driver and had just started working when she was called to human resources to explain some racy photographs. Turns out, you can’t show your nips and drive people around town.

When I see polar bears...it makes me want to have a Coke
A sculpture of polar bears floats down the Thames, past the Houses of Parliament, in London, as part of a promotion for natural history TV channel Eden and to remind MPs of global warming.Meanwhile.......back at his laboratory.......GORE HEARING ON WARMING MAY BE PUT ON ICE
Al Gore is scheduled before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday morning to once again testify on the 'urgent need' to combat global warming.
But Mother Nature seems ready to freeze the proceedings.
A 'Winter Storm Watch' has been posted for the nation's capitol and there is a potential for significant snow... sleet... or ice accumulations.
"I can't imagine the Democrats would want to showcase Mr. Gore and his new findings on global warming as a winter storm rages outside," a Republican lawmaker emailed the DRUDGE REPORT. "And if the ice really piles up, it will not be safe to travel."
A spokesman for Sen. John Kerry, who chairs the committee, was not immediately available to comment on contingency plans.
Global warming advocates have suggested this year's wild winter spells are proof of climate change.
Developing...So when the temperature goes up it is due to global warming and when the temperature goes down it is due to global warming. You just cant win with these delusional idiots.

London is dirtiest and most expensive, Brussels is the most boring
London is the dirtiest and most expensive city in Europe, while Brussels is the most boring, according to a survey published on Wednesday. Despite the Brussels attractions of beer, chocolate, mussels and chips, it was voted the most boring European city, followed by Zurich, Oslo, Warsaw and Zagreb.Respondents said Paris was the most unfriendly, followed by London and Moscow, but the French capital is still working its old magic as it was voted the most romantic destination in Europe and the best for shopping and dining. Here is the a rundown of the top three in various categories

Train bombing hoax in Belgium
Trains in several Belgian cities including Brussels were stopped for up to an hour on Friday and some stations were evacuated after police received hoax bomb threats by telephone.Police said stations in Louvain and Antwerp had to be evacuated to be swept for bombs, while the central station in Brussels was checked by a dog trained to find explosives.
"Service is back to normal now," a police spokesman said.
Belgium, which hosts NATO and European Union institutions, relaxed security on Thursday after a two-week state of alert prompted by the uncovering of an apparent Islamist plot to free an al Qaeda suspect from jail.
Fourteen suspected Islamic militants had briefly been detained and Brussels cancelled its traditional New Year fireworks display because of a perceived threat.

Moonbats march for Global warming
Demonstrators took to the streets across the globe Saturday to press world leaders to act over climate change, in coordinated protests marking the ongoing UN environment conference in Bali.Organisers said more than 10,000 people rallied in London, though police put the figure at 2,000.
They marched through the rainy capital, eventually gathering outside the US embassy. Because we all know, George Bush alone is the single biggest cause of global warming.

Announcer sacked over spoof messages
An official announcer for London's Tube system has been sacked after making spoof messages mocking American tourists, peeping Toms and sweaty commuters.Voiceover artist Emma Clarke, 36, recorded the announcements in the same smooth tones that have warned millions of passengers to "Mind The Gap" and posted them on her Web site.
The messages include:
* "We would like to remind our American tourist friends that you are almost certainly talking too loudly."
* "Would the passenger in the red shirt pretending to read the paper but who is actually staring at that woman's chest please stop. You are not fooling anyone, you filthy pervert."

Belgians stream to London to watch a guy piss in a cup
In what has got to be one of the strangest ad campaigns i've ever seen, advertisements meant to draw Belgians to London, one depicting a shirtless skinhead, whose back is painted with the English flag, urinating into a tea cup, have drawn mixed reaction from train passengers in London and Belgium. What is there really to say? The Brits are losing it? A skinhead is fun? Let me book the next flight to London I can't wait to hang out with some skinheads...

Web Sites "Tear Down That Wall"
Rupert Murdoch's announcement this week that he expects to stop charging for access to the Wall Street Journal's Web site is the latest example of a publisher giving up on the subscription-based business model -- a significant shift in the evolution of online content. In recent months, the Economist, the New York Times and the Financial Times have all moved content out from "behind the wall," an industry metaphor for the location of paid online content.

VLM Airlines beats the train to London
VLM claims there is no faster way of getting to London than with their airline. Yesterday, Eurostar launched it’s shortened travel time to London, with 1 hour 50 minutes time of the actual journey (actually, only one train of the 10 daily trains to London has this travel time), VLM Airlines is still the fastest even when taking various travel aspects into consideration. When departing for London, passengers need to get the check-in, complete the actual journey and then make their way to their final destination in London.Thursday, November 08, 2007
How Ironic, As the title says - where do I apply ?
An Exercise in WasteThe reason? Because the parliament accepts that "unless the institutions can find a building where they will be the sole occupant, permission to fly the EU flag or display other forms of externally visible identification will almost certainly not be given".
And why that permission will not be forthcoming is that having a huge EU flag outside the building will diminish the possible rental income from any sub letting. The reason given was that their is 'such animosity' in London towards the EU flag that it would drive away any potential leasees.
