Brussels to tackle Dog Shit...Let me know how that works out.

You’ve heard it here before, but allow me to reiterate, if there’s one thing Brussels has no shortage of, it’s gotta be dog shit. They seem to harbour a particular fondness for the stuff and even the roadsweeps take meticulous care not to touch it, allowing the expert pedestrian to produce an exact mental roadmap of the upcoming turds on his or her way to work.
I like to think of it as a real-life video game, providing countless hours of entertainment of avoiding the minefields on an otherwise uneventful trot around town

From now on, anyone walking a dog in Brussels must have a sack with him or her.
This isn't new, but what IS new is that the sack must visibly be hanging from the leash. People who do not have a sack visible while walking their dog will be liable to be fined.

The fines will range from €50 to €250. The Brussels police will be lenient in the beginning until everyone knows the new regulation. There will be a kind of transition period. After the new regulation is widely known, the police warn that they will enforce it very strictly.
