It is understood that a Russian crime outfit has succeeded in outwitting the security precautions of several online banking operations. The financial daily De Tijd reports that it's not yet clear how online banking security was compromised and how much money has disappeared.It's believed that two major banks, KBC and Dexia, and a smaller one, Argenta, were the target of the fraud.Belgium's Banking and Finances Commission confirms that there have been several successful attempts to defraud the banks.
