TOUR OF FLANDERS THIS SUNDAY
The number of people taking to the streets to catch a glimpse of their cycling heroes has been increasing sharply during the last decade. Last year saw an estimated 600,000 fans turning up. The busiest places every year are the city of Bruges, where the start of the race takes place, and the small, winding roads combining steep hills with cobble-stone sections in the Flemish Ardennes, in the southern part of East Flanders.
