Democrat health care debate video highlights and the Pelosi Sausage Factory

Dirty deals, open threats, broken promises and disregard for democracy.... it’s a democrat thing. but Pelosi may have awoken the sleeping giant with a terrible wrath.....I know I'm awake.

Never before has the average American been treated to such a live-action view of the sordid politics necessary to push a deeply flawed bill to completion. It was dirty deals, open threats, broken promises and disregard for democracy that pulled ObamaCare to this point, and yesterday the same machinations pushed it across the finish line. Read the WSJ about how this bill became a law in "The Pelosi Sausage Factory"

What is different than in previous times is that all of these underhanded deals and outright bribes will quickly become publicly known at a time when the approval of Congress is already at 20% or less. The majority of the American people opposed this bill and their Democrat members of the House simply ignored the wishes of their constituents and think that bringing home some local "goodies" will make it right with the voters.

A few airports, more water to some farmers and other "deals" will seem very hollow when this and other travesties created by the Congress cause the US economy to collapse. The American people are starting to see that the US Congress and the Obama administration have made thug style Chicago politics national.

Anybody remember seeing "How a Bill becomes a Law" in grade school civics class?....Well, since the power grab of the Health Care bill that just passed, they will have to rewrite that.....another job created by Captain Bullshit.

Danny Williams, Newfie Premier, travels to U.S. for heart surgery

The heart and soul of Newfoundland politics is in for repair – and it's not in his home Province, or even in Canada, for that matter.

The deputy premier of Newfoundland and Labrador (where there is actually a town callled Dildo).. says Danny Williams is undergoing heart surgery in the United States because the treatment he is seeking was not available in his home province.

Kathy Dunderdale says the premier decided to go to the U.S. for surgery after weeks of consultation with his doctors, but added she wasn’t aware whether that type of surgery was offered elsewhere in Canada.

It’s an old joke in Canada, but might be new to some of you....Canadian's have the best health care system in the world, unless you get sick. I don't know if you can buy any SCREECH in the States though...he may have to bring his private stock.

dis stuff jus makes me newfie blood boil it do.....hey by...tunderin' Danny he crossed da line der buddy!

......the backpeddling begins......

The most transparent government evahhhh...

First of all...when did CNN start reporting news.

The Associated Press reports the American people have been informed that their services are no longer needed.

Among those unhappy with the planned private powwow is the head of C-Span, who "has implored Congress to open up the last leg of health care reform negotiations to the public," Fox News reports:

C-SPAN CEO Brian Lamb wrote to leaders in the House and Senate Dec. 30 urging them to open "all important negotiations, including any conference committee meetings," to televised coverage on his network.

Here is the letter. Pelosi's response: "There has never been a more open process for any legislation in anyone who's served here's experience." Has a more false or awkwardly worded statement ever come out of anyone who has served as speaker of the House's mouth?

So much for transparency... here you have the liar in chief, promising on eight separate occasions to televise the health care debate. Actually Obama never lies. He just makes situational assertions.

Don't copy Europes mistakes

This video on health care, produced by the Center for Freedom and Prosperity, features Eline van den Broek, founder of the European Independent Institute.

She does a nice job of explaining, in simple terms, why the United States should not copy Europe's mistakes, and why the key to true health care reform is less government, not more.

If government-run healthcare is approved, it is very likely that politicians will then look for a new revenue source to finance all the new spending that inevitably will follow. Unfortunately, that means a value-added tax (VAT) will be high on the list.

Indeed, the VAT recently has been favorably mentioned by powerful political figures and key Obama allies such as the Co-Chairman of his transition team and the Speaker of the House.
The VAT would be great news for the political insiders and beltway elite. A brand new source of revenue would mean more money for them to spend and a new set of loopholes to swap for campaign cash and lobbying fees.

But in this video.... the evidence from Europe unambiguously suggests that a VAT will dramatically increase the burden of government. That’s good for Washington, but bad for America.
