Can you adopt an orphan SMART car?
It seems like the number of “orphaned” Smart cars in the U.S. are growing. Maybe they heard about the new Tata, and are waiting for that instead. Although this model claims to seat 13, it looks a little crowded to me.

Belgians are big American haters
Who'd have thought eh?An Ipsos/Reuters poll, released two days ahead of Barack Obama's inauguration as America's 44th president, shows India (72%) and Poland (53%) as the USA's strongest allies.
The nations with the strongest overall negative image of the US were Russia (60%) and Turkey (55%) – historically a strong US ally - followed by Argentina and three EU member states: Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

Hilary Clinton ...Foot in Mouth #761
Hold onto your seats because I have some shocking news! Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has put her foot in her mouth and said something she regrets. Shocking, I know.Hillary mentioned to a local rag in South Dakota that having the campaign go into June would be okay as both her husband's and Robert Kennedy's campaign went into June. That would be the same Robert Kennedy who was assassinated and the DNC in 1968. The web is buzzing, as are the MSM talking heads, over the hidden message that she is sticking around incase Obama (PBUH) gets whacked.
This rare lapse in judgment has Clinton stating she's not worried about the nomination for the Democrats because of the threat of an Assassination attempt on alleged front-runner Barack Obama. So yes, she's staying in the race because she believes her chance of winning rests on a crazy persons bullet. Or knife. Or poison. There's really so many choices.

First USA baby boomer applies for Social Security
The Silver Tsunami has started!The nation's first baby boomer applied for Social Security Monday, the start of an avalanche of applications from the post-World War II generation.
Kathleen Casey-Kirschling, a former teacher from New Jersey, applied for benefits over the Internet. Casey-Kirschling was born one second after midnight on Jan. 1, 1946, making her the first baby boomer -- a generation of nearly 80 million born from 1946 to 1964.

She'll apply — online — for Social Security at a public ceremony. When Kirschling turns 62, she'll be able to celebrate with that first monthly check. Celebrating may be short lived. Paying for 80 million retirees is not going to be cheap.

Palm beer to go on sale in the States
The Palm brewery from Londerzeel in Flemish Brabant has announced that will start marketing its Brabant brown beer in the United States. The company has signed a cooperation accord with an American company that imports speciality beers into the US.At present ,Palm is only available in Belgium and the Netherlands, where it is very popular.
Palm Breweries is also to export Rodenbach, a tangy beer produced in the West Flemish town of Roeselare, to new markets in the United States.
Europe ageing and divorcing at high speed
There are currently more elderly people than children living in the EU, as Europe's young population has decreased by 21 percent - or 23 million – in 25 years, 10 percent of which in the last ten years alone.Despite these figures, the EU population has grown by 8.2% over the last 27 years, now reaching almost 500 million. This paradox can mostly be explained by an ever increasing number of immigrants coming to the EU. Last year alone, 75% of the population growth was the result of immigration flows, says the report.
The USA is catching up fast. Meanwhile, if the tendencies in the 27-member bloc as a whole continue, it is very likely that the US and the EU will have the same number of inhabitants by 2060, says the report.
