STUDS Salutes this Real Man of Genius

STUDS salutes an unidentified 64 year-old German man who had it up to here with the stupid rules about carrying liquids on airplanes. The poor soul was just trying to make his way home to Dresden from Egypt when airport security in Nuremburg told him he’d either have to pay to check his liter bottle of Vodka, or throw it away. In protest, the gentleman chugged the entire bottle while security watched. He didn’t make his flight to Dresden, but that’ll teach those young airport rent-a-cops.

You can make us pay for this crap but you can't make us listen to it.

The European commission is setting up its own radio station for distributing EU propaganda. And guess what kiddies, you get to pay for it! All yours for the bargain price of £11,500 a day.
Dubbed "Radio Brussels", (aka Radio Bulls**t) the station will be financed by the European taxpayer and will broadcast to up to 20 million listeners next year. I imagine actual listening figures will be countable on one hand! Wanna bet on who's going to be doing the math on the listenership numbers?

The European commission wants the taxpayer to fund what Lord Haw Haw was hanged for. Now the EU will have its own Minister of Information, any bells ringing here?

The Nutty Buddy

Do you have a person that is unusually difficult to find a holiday gift for? May I suggest the Nutty Buddy.

Former Royals pitcher Mark Littell, who has slightly lost his mind, is pitching a new product he has designed called the “Nutty Buddy,” he stands in front of one of those pitching machines aimed at his groin, and takes one for the team.

...In case their kids need encouraging, Littell’s cups come with macho names: “Hammer,” “Boss,” “Hog” and for really big men, the XL-sized “Mongo,” a salute to a the ogrelike character in the movie “Blazing Saddles.”

The Pedestrian Strikes Back

Europe’s pedestrians are revolting. Tired of having to fight their way past badly-parked cars, people all over the continent are coming up with all sorts of innovative protests.
And they range from the simple to the sort that could land you behind bars.
Park in the wrong place in Brussels, for example, and someone will lift your windscreen wipers. It has become a city-wide statement of protest.

Perhaps the most painful protest I saw came here in Brussels. Someone picked on a friend’s gaz-guzzling Hummer and put a note under the windscreen. “Why not just have a penis enlargement, rather than driving this thing around?”

And then, invented in Germany, there is “car vaulting”. Never heard of it? Here is a demonstration in the video above.
THE STORY

Fun on the ice....or Snow!

The "Plaisirs d'hiver" (winter fun) festival, will bring cultural and traditional activities to Brussels town centre from November 30th to January 1.
Deep in the heart of the Marché aux Poissons district you'll find a huge 60 metre long area of ice split into two with separate areas for the little ones and the grown-ups. A small ice rink for young children is situated alongside the main rink for the older ones and experienced skaters. In the middle of the rink will be a huge cone of 12 metres high, and a chalet restaurant serving the hot wine and chocolate.
I think this picture was taken at 6 in the morning, so be prepared for some long lines, and if you have your own blades, bring em. They aren't exactly giving you a new pair of CCM's to rent, and you don't want to get stuck with figure skates.

If that doesn't suit you, check out Snowworld Landgraaf, the world's biggest indoor winter sports centre... Just a few kilometres from the Dutch border and less than two hours from Brussels, near Maastricht. With a temperature of about zero degrees, a chalet in the middle of the four slopes and the never-ending procession of ski tows: this is definitely a winter sports haven! One learner slope with a moving walkway, a fun park with moguls, and two 500 metre-long runs. This is just like a ski resort, with all the details, a choice of slopes, a mountainside restaurant, restaurants at the foot of the slopes, a disco... and of course, you can rent equipment and make purchases in the winter sports shop. Next to that is a huge ice rink for recreational skating.

Snowworld Landgraaf is open everyday all year round (from 9 am to midnight in winter, from 9 am to 11 pm in summer)To get there: take the E40 motorway to Louvain, then the E314 to Aachen. After the border take the A76 towards Heerlen/Aachen (trip time is around 80 minutes).
