Bush declares a 'state of emergency' in Washington as cost of Obama's swearing-in ceremony soars to 170 million

I kid you not....Bush has actually declared a state of emergency to pay for this inauguration.

Where are all the left wing moonbats now, whining about the cost and how many hungry people that money could feed. They were certainly a boisterous group when it was a Republican, and only a 40 million dollar cost, but since it's the messiah all are quiet and comfortable with their false beliefs. It really shows how superficial they are!

An Ipsos/Reuters poll, released two days ahead of Barack Obama's inauguration as America's 44th president, shows India (72%) and Poland (53%) as the USA's strongest allies.

The nations with the strongest overall negative image of the US were Russia (60%) and Turkey (55%) – historically a strong US ally - followed by Argentina and three EU member states: Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.

The guy does love his country though

I don’t know if I'm ready to trust a guy that can shoot rainbows out of his ass. We'll see what happens as the grand social experiment kicks in. Actually I completely support the new guy.....where do I go to get my bailout money again?

Another assasination in Moscow

Murdered Chechen girl's lawyer shot dead in Moscow
A lawyer acting for the family of a Chechen girl whose murder by a Russian officer became a symbol of human rights abuses in the region was shot dead in central Moscow on Monday, prosecutors said.

Stanislav Markelov, who acted for the family of Elza Kungayeva, had opposed the early release this month of a Russian officer who was jailed for her murder.

She said a murder investigation had been launched.....let me know how that works out.

The murder of 18-year-old Kungayeva in 2000 provoked a storm of protest in Chechnya. Her family said she had been raped and murdered in a drunken rampage by Russian troops.
