A TRUE AMERICAN HERO



Dick Winters, the former World War II commander whose war story was told in the book and miniseries “Band of Brothers,” has died. He led a quiet life on his Fredericksburg farm and in his Hershey home until the book and miniseries “Band of Brothers” threw him into the international spotlight.

Since then, the former World War II commander of Easy Company had received hundreds of requests for interviews and appearances all over the world.

Gordon Brown remembers D-Day heroism at "Obama Beach"


So enamoured of the new American Pres is Gordon Brown, that he renamed Omaha Beach in his honour at the 65th anniversary of the Normandy landings. Prime Minister Gordon Brown remembered "Obama" Beach at D-Day ceremonies in Normandy

Obviously, Obama is not the only one who is a clueless on world history. And they called Tony Blair a poodle....

A Day to Remember The Allied Forces

Gold, Sword, Omaha, Juno... Names that should be known to all, but fewer remember them with each passing year. Fewer still are taught about them. Today, take a moment and remember.
Take a moment, and teach.Stand silent for a moment, and remember all those who died this day, so that the light of freedom could shine again, for at least a while, on a continent gone dark.
