Steelers Win Superbowl XLIII; No Review On Last Play?

I stayed up to watch it, as it started at midnight here in Belgium, and just as it was turning into a snoozefest, it turned out to be a classic game. Those last 10 minutes were some kind of insane.

That last-minute touchdown grab by Santonio Holmes that will undoubtedly rank among the best plays in Super Bowl history. Being a Minnesota Viking fan, that looked like a patented Chris Carter catch.......back in the day.

UPDATE: According to NFL VP of Officiating Mike Pereira, the replay official upstairs did see the play clearly.
“We confirmed it was a fumble,” said Pereira. “The replay assistant in the replay booth saw it was clearly a fumble. The ball got knocked loose and was rolling in his hand before it started forward. He has to have total control.”

If you haven't seen the 30 seconds of live porn that Comcast viewers got in Arizona right during the Warner to Fitzgerald go ahead touchdown pass...go here.
Gives new meaning to the phrase....going deep, and balls out!

Go Cardinals

I really don't have a lot of interest in the game this year as to who wins, but I'm going with the Cards for a couple reasons even though they're big underdogs. I've got a nephew in college at Arizona State, and until this season, Pat Tillman, the football player turned fallen soldier, was the only bright spot in an otherwise dismal Arizona team.
Lest I forget....their cheerleaders deserve a vote too!

Micheal Phelps caught smoking pot

The competition isn't the only thing he's been smoking! I think the guy's earned the right to relax and take a bong hit or two...

he must have inspired Obama's pot smoking brother George....because he got caught too.

Olympic hero and 14-time gold medalist Michael Phelps has been caught cradling a glass bong - a scene so potentially damaging to his career that his representatives allegedly tried to buy off the British newspaper News Of The World in an attempt to kill the story, the paper reports.

USA looks pretty good as Europe meltsdown

As bad as the economy is in America, the situation is much worse in the Europe. Iceland is bankrupt and the government has been toppled. France and Latvia are facing rioting in the streets. Other European governments are watching their currency value collapse and unemployment rise to staggering levels.

France paralyzed by a wave of strike action, the boulevards of Paris resembling a debris-strewn battlefield. The Hungarian currency sinks to its lowest level ever against the euro, as the unemployment figure rises. Greek farmers block the road into Bulgaria in protest at low prices for their produce. New figures from the biggest bank in the Baltic show that the three post-Soviet states there face the biggest recessions in Europe.

This is not a cumlitive effect.....this all happened in just the last week. Just goes to show what I've always said about the news media and politics in Europe...they love to focus their populace on everything bad about the US, to keep them from seeing how bad it actually is in their own backyard. Any wonder why they love Obama so much?

Watching the Growth of Walmart Across America

Pretty amazing flow chart of how Walmart evolved. It started rather slow, and then spread like an Ebola virus across the country. click the link
