The Rütli school is located in the Berlin suburb of Neukölln, an ethnically diverse, low-rent district where unemployment is high. Growing Pot....Ruled Not Illegal

A court in the town of Turnhout (Antwerp province) has aquitted 5 people, who had been charged with the possession and sale of illegal drugs. The ruling came despite the police having discovered a cannabis plantation at the home of the 5, in the village of Beerse.
The house was raided by Turnhout Police on 14 October 2004 and some 500 plants were found.
The judge said he had made the ruling as the law makes a clear distinction between growing plants that could be used to make narcotic substances and actually being in possession of such substances.
The law states clearly that growing cannabis plants is not a criminal offence, while possession of cannabis is against the law.
However, the judge said that it had not been proved that any of the five had been in possession of drugs.

Belgium Builds its Case for Attracting More Foreign Investment

Belgium is on a mission to attract foreign direct investment. To help reach that goal, the government has introduced new incentive programs to encourage companies to locate in this important Western European nation.
