Lenin takes a cruise down the Danube

Few Hungarians thought they'd ever see Lenin in Budapest again.
So when they saw a 12-metre-high foam sculpture of the Soviet dictator on Wednesday on a boat on the Danube in the heart of the city, it was no wonder they called the police.
Soviet troops were withdrawn from Hungary in the early 1990s and sculptures of Lenin were either destroyed or ousted into a history park in the outskirts of Budapest.
"The calls were inquiries rather than complaints," police spokeswoman Eva Tafferner said.
The sculpture was a prop for a film about the farewell to Communism, which collapsed in Hungary two decades ago, producer Peter Miskolczy was quoted as saying by national news agency. Link

The European Court of Justice in Luxembourg had ruled that Hungary but not Italy could use the term Tokai, Tocai or Tokaj, although wine producers in Friuli-Venezia Giulia have been using it for centuries.
The fight with Paris Hilton, meanwhile, is over a drink called Rich Prosecco and its advertising campaign featuring the socialite wearing nothing but a coating of gold paint, in imitation of the actress Shirley Eaton in the James Bond film Goldfinger.
The reason behind the protests is that Hilton has not only used the name prosecco, which Italians regard as their copyright, but also, sacrilegiously, put the drink in a can and mixed it with fruit juice. STORY
