Worst dressed Olympians...the Norwegian Curlers

The Norwegian curling team drew some curious looks from onlookers when they showed up for a training session on Sunday wearing pants purchased from Loudmouth Golf, the very same California-based company that outfits John Daly with his retina-scorching trousers.

The Norwegian team originally planned to wear the outfit for training, but considering the rock star status that curlers have in Vancouver... it might become permanent.

Personally, I think they're awesome. I see no problem with curlers bringing a little style, or lack of it.... to game.

My only concern is that the pants might have some sort of negative John Daley psychological impact on the curlers. The last thing these Norwegians need is to develop an addiction to white trash women, Diet Coke and Marlboros.

Tiger Woods reads poetry...and Phil is a cheat

I've been looking fo an excuse to post this video of Tiger....so here's a fairly boring story about Phil Mickelson's clubs.

Maybe you’ve seen or heard about some of the latest groove controversy. It all started with a small rule change that seemed to be just another “nit picky” implementation by the USGA. Now it’s developed into a major feud between players and USGA officials, led by Phil Mickelson on the players side.

So Mickelson adheres to the nonsense and puts a Ping Eye 2 wedge in his bag, only then to be called a “cheater” by Scott McCarron.

John Daly weighs in on Tiger Woods

One of the great ironies of the Tiger Woods affair, or should I say affairs... is the way that Tiger and John Daly have basically reversed roles in the public eye. Daly guest-hosts Tuesday night's Sports Soup to offer a public comment on Mr. Woods in a suit he must have borrowed from Don Cherry.

Tiger Woods to take indefinite leave from golf

Phil Mickelson just threw up his dessert at the Cheescake factory. This is either the best PR-move ever or the most desperate. But either way......golf just got a lot less interesting. Pussy Galore guys......... It'll getcha every time.

I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What’s most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.

Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.

David Feherty says U.S. soldier would murder House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

David Feherty is one of the best golf commentators around. Feherty, is the only man I know who can call Tiger Woods a loser and not be impaled by a pitching wedge.

CBS Sports commentator David Feherty drew criticism Friday for suggesting any U.S. soldier would murder House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid if given the chance.

"From my own experience visiting the troops in the Middle East, I can tell you this, though: despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death," Feherty wrote in an a D Magazine piece welcoming former President George W. Bush back to Dallas.

Feherty, a former professional golfer who now helps call golf events for CBS, said that troops love former President Bush by contrast, and praised the former commander-in-chief for having prevented additional terrorist attacks during his time in office.

Anna Rawson...the new GO DADDY Girl

I'm not sure if you guys knew this, but somehow, someway, having a really hot babe as your spokesperson does wonders for your company. GoDaddy.com understands this, and plans on adding Aussie golfer Anna Rawson as it's new spokesperson.

Anna Rawson, as you might remember, has been in the headlines two times in the past four months, once for successfully meandering her way through LPGA Q-School alongside Michelle Wie to get full status on tour, and again for comments she made about the past image of the LPGA.To recap what she said during a radio interview in Australia:

"The tour has got so much better with so many young stars and great players," Rawson told the radio station in an interview arranged by her father Jim. "But the mentality unfortunately amongst the media and the industry hasn't changed. They still think we're at 25 years ago when the tour was full of, you know, a lot of dykes and unattractive females nobody wanted to watch."

Paula Creamer and Natalie Gulbis are golf babes, yes. Crowd favorites with the boys (and some heterosexually challenged girls as well I’m sure) and for good reason. Man if you only knew what I typed here and then deleted. This girl is in love with me....she just doesn't know it yet

Downtown Golf

You'd like to try your hand at golf but don't have time to get to the outskirts of Brussels to test your swing on one of the existing courses. No problem, the "Hole In The City" operation is starting at the Jeux d'Hiver right in the middle of the Bois de la Cambre.

A complete outdoor golf set-up will be installed next June 7th, 8th and 9th. A giant net, a putting green and some garden practice facilities will be at your disposal. There will also be some clubs available, and the latest innovations in terms of equipment.

Access is entirely free and open to all on Friday the 8th from 11.00 to 20.00 and on Saturday the 9th from 10.00 to 18.00. To bring the day to a splendid close, the Belgian French-Speaking Golf Association will be running a Golfers' Evening at the Jeux d'Hiver on Friday the 8th. A meal and an evening's entertainment are on the menu.
