Brussels Beach a Success

The city of Brussels and its event planning bureau say the fifth edition of Brussel Bad was a success. The city beach along the canal on the Saincteletteplein in Brussels drew almost a half million visitors. The weekends were busy because of the sunny weather, but the weekdays were disappointing because of the clouds and rain.
The 70 musical acts drew an average of 150 to 350 spectators. The on-site library loaned out 800 books to beachgoers. No fewer than 130,000 cocktails were served during the event.
